Mr. Victorio Mario M. Dimagiba, Jr. is the Deputy Consul General currently serving in the Philippine Consulate General in Calgary, Canada since September 2021.

A career diplomat, Mr. Dimagiba joined the Department of Foreign Affairs in January 2000 after passing the Foreign Service Officer Exams in 1999.

Prior to his assignment, Mr. Dimagiba was concurrently Deputy Assistant Secretary & Officer-in-Charge of the Office of Middle East & African Affairs of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs in 2021. He also had stints at the Office of Strategic Communications & Research and the Office of Asian and Pacific Affairs.

His previous foreign assignments included serving as First Secretary & later as Deputy Head of Mission, and Consul General, Embassy of the Philippines in Singapore from 2012 to 2019, and Vice Consul & later Consul, at the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong SAR 2003 to 2010.

Mr. Dimagiba received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the Ateneo De Manila University, Philippines in 1999 and a Master’s in Sciences in Strategic Studies from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2017, wherein he also obtained a Certificate in Terrorism Studies.
