Simon is the Product Innovation Domain Leader at Sanjel Energy Services, where he spearheads the commercialization of advanced wellbore technologies to ensure long-term well integrity. With over 20 years of experience in technology development, his expertise spans areas from wellbore cement integrity solutions to next-generation carbon capture materials. A passionate advocate for collaborative problem-solving, Simon bridges the academic-industry divide by fostering academic partnerships and delivering lectures to inspire the next generation of industry leaders. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from the University of Sydney, Australia, and has authored more than 35 patents, papers, and conference proceedings. In recognition of his impactful research in well cementing, Simon received the 2019 Society of Petroleum Engineers Canadian Region Projects, Facilities, and Construction Award.
