Kat Smith is an Advisor on the Low Carbon Business Development team at Enbridge, specializing in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) initiatives. Since May 2024, she has focused on advancing the Open Access Wabamun Carbon Hub (Wabamun Hub), where she leads efforts to secure provincial and federal funding for the project. Prior to joining the Wabamun Hub team, Kat supported the development of Enbridge’s enterprise-wide CCUS strategy as part of the New Energy Technologies team.
Before joining Enbridge, Kat worked in venture capital, concentrating on clean technology start-ups, with a particular emphasis on the hydrogen value chain and innovation within the oil and gas sector. She holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University.
