Dr. Ferdinand Hingerl is the Chief Technology Officer of Ambyint, a technology company that provides Artificial Intelligence-Driven Process Automation solutions for upstream Oil and Gas producers. Ferdinand has over a decade experience in energy-focused R&D at international research institutions, startups and scaleups in Europe and North America and has served in various technical roles in the energy industry, where he designed and implemented cloud-based, physics-assisted AI solutions for process automation and optimization, analytics and simulation. Entrusted with spearheading the delivery of innovative SaaS solutions, Ferdinand leads an interdisciplinary technology and data science team, aligning Ambyint’s strategy with the growing emphasis on energy security, sustainability, and net zero targets in North America.
Under his strategic guidance, Ambyint’s solution assists customers in optimizing production, increasing worker safety, and achieving sustainability goals. Ferdinand has a PhD in computational geochemistry from ETH Zurich and performed his postdoctoral research at Stanford University in Energy Resources Engineering.
