Currently, Pedro Miras is Director of International Organizations WPC in Repsol and President of WPC ENERGY (former World Petroleum Council -WPC-).

He also is President of Spain/Peru Foundation (FCEP), member of the Advisory Committee of LEWAS, member of the Institute of Board Members & Administrators (ICA) and Fellow of the Energy institute (EI).

Formerly, he has served for 8 years as President and Chairman of the Spanish Strategic Petroleum Reserves Corporation (CORES).

At the same time, he has been 10 years Chairman of the Standing Group on Emergency Questions (SEQ) and 2 years as Chairman of the Standing Group on Markets (SOM) of the International Energy Agency (IEA).

He also has been Chairman of the Program Committee and Vice President Program of the Executive Committee of the WPC and, for 8 years, Chairman of the WPC Spanish National Committee.

Furthermore, in different periods in 12 years, he has occupied different positions as Director of Institutional Affairs and Organizations, Director of the Chairman´s Office and Director of Regulatory Affairs, in Repsol, and as Petroleum and Biofuels Director in the National Energy Commission and Spanish Certification Biofuel Entity (CNE) and he has been also member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Petroleum Industry Association (AOP). He has been representing Repsol in many internationals institutions like Business al OCECD (BIAC), B20, International Energy Agency (IEA) or International Chamber of Commerce Spain (ICC).

He previously served for 12 years at several positions in Repsol, mainly in the areas of International Development and New Business and in the refinery of Tarragona (as Project Management and Control).

He has also been member of the Steering Committee and the Board of Directors of Enerclub (Club Español de la Energía), member of the Board of Directors of Via Círculo Jefferson. He has been part of the Spanish Delegation of the Assemblies of Ibero-American Energy Regulators and member of the Committee to follow up the collaboration agreement between the energy regulators of Brazil (ANP) and Spain (CNE), among other positions.

Thus, he has more than 30 years dedicated to the world of energy.

He has got several degrees, Bachelor Industrial Engineer and Master Mechanical Engineer at Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales de Zaragoza, Master of Business Administrator Executive (MBA) at Instituto de Empresa de Madrid and Master of International Business (MGIE) at the School of Industrial Organization of Madrid.

He has been professor in several institutions such as the School of Industrial Organization, the Master Petroleum Technology and Economics in Repsol, and the Ibero-American School of Defense of Competition of the Court of Defense of the Competition. Professor of the Master of Economy and Regulation of the Public Services of the University of Barcelona, of the Institute of Business Formation of the Chamber of Commerce and of the CEDDET Foundation. Also, professor of the Master of Energy Finance, the Master in Energy Business, and the Master in Energy Law, all of them within the Spanish Energy Club master’s degrees.

Awarded as "Industrial Engineer of the Year 2015" (Honorary Mention Official College of Industrial Engineers of Madrid, COIIM).

He also collaborates with various publications and tv programs in the field of energy and he is a regular speaker in many conferences and seminars in the energy field all around the world.
