Sadhika Sasiprabhu is a Legal Officer with the Disasters and Conflicts Branch of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), based in Geneva, Switzerland. She is part of the team coordinating the UNEP-Norway Energy for Development Knowledge Programme.  In her role, Sadhika analyses environmental and legal frameworks in developing countries to help facilitate renewable energy development, minimise pollution risks and navigate a sustainable energy transition. She developed and delivered the Global Webinar Series 2023 and 2024, a capacity building webinar series which attracts over 700 participants across 100 countries annually.

Prior to her role in UNEP she worked as a commercial lawyer, focusing on environmental and energy related disputes in London and India. Sadhika’s interest areas include the energy transition and climate justice, specifically focusing on bridging inequalities between developed and developing countries.

Sadhika holds an LLB in Politics, Philosophy & Law from King’s College London and an LLM in International Environmental Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute.

Recent work includes: Strengthening Environmental Management and Reducing Pollution Risks from the Oil and Gas Sector in Uganda.

Institutional Capacity Needs Assessment towards Strengthening Sustainable Ocean Governance in Ghana.
