As an instructor leading  communication classrooms in technology programs popularly filled by men, Heather Setka has been researching, presenting and publishing on women's experiences in male-dominated spaces for close to 10 years. Her master's degree is in organizational behaviour and leadership, and she has recently been named the Academic Co-Chair of Electrical Trades at SAIT. She has a 21-year-old daughter who is studying agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan, where Heather also obtained her first bachelor's degree.
