A Montrealer who’s also spent a big part of her life in Calgary, she returned to the city three years ago after several years in Quebec. Her academic journey focused on environmental research, with an undergrad in road ecology and a master's in Impact Assessment exploring Indigenous perspectives in species-at-risk governance. She has worked in research and project management, including roles in higher education and with Environment and Climate Change Canada on species-at-risk programs. Now serving as Principal Investigator, Sustainability Sciences at SAIT, she has spent the past two years leading research on the water-energy nexus, and water efficiency planning with the City of Calgary, as well as urban farming. She recently expanded into instructing and delivering courses in Impact Assessment and Sustainable Urban Design.
